MR: Add Donation Page and About Page

Summary

  • This MR introduces a dedicated Donation Page to the frontend that explains the importance of donations and provides clear guidance on how users can donate.
  • And also an About Page which describes the Medical Camp, the organisations involved.

Changes

  • Added a new Donation Page with two sections:

    • Why to Donate: explains purpose and impact
    • How to Donate: step-by-step guidance with CTA

  • Reused existing design system components and styles

  • Ensured responsive and accessible layout

  • CTA implemented as disabled/placeholder where payment integration is unavailable

  • Added AboutPage.tsx: A new page component accessible at /about containing three sections:

    1. About eHRS Medical Camp
    2. Organisations involved
    3. Address

  • Updated Application Routing (App.tsx): Registered the protected /about route so the page loads securely within the main application layout.

  • Enhanced Application Navigation (AppLayout.tsx):

    • Added an "About" link to the sidebar navigation menu, located directly below the "Home" link.
    • Implemented a unified global footer positioned at the bottom of the layout.
    • The footer features a grid layout on desktops to perfectly center the copyright notice (© 2026 SWECHA. All rights reserved.) while keeping the "About" link right-aligned. The layout maintains its vertically stacked design on mobile devices for optimal viewing.

  • Frontend-only
  • No backend or payment logic changes

Testing

  • Verified layout on mobile and desktop
  • Verified accessibility basics (headings, contrast, semantics)
  • Confirmed no impact on existing pages or flows

Notes

  • Informational and UX-focused feature
  • Ready for future payment integration
